The evening began with a special children’s program and a catered meal in their own banquet hall, led by master storyteller Shmuli Zalmanov.

In grades Pre1A through second grade, Rabbi Meir Shimshoni led a farbrengen for the Talmidim, that included live music and niggunim with Rabbi Yossi Goldstein, raffles, and an animated storytime about Yud Tes Kislev with Shmuli Zalmanov.

The rally was held to mark chag hageulah Yud Beis Tammuz. Children joined in reciting the twelve pesukim and enjoyed a story by master storyteller Shmuli Zalmanov.

Special permits were obtained this year to host a Menorah Lighting ceremony in Marine Park, Brooklyn’s largest park, through the efforts of Rabbi Levi Hendel, director of Chabad of Marine Park. Last night the Menorah was kindled, with a concert lead by Mendy J & Story Show by Rabbi Shmuli Zalmanov.

Two Days of Joy for Yud Tes Kislev at Oholei Torah

Rabbi Meir Shimshoni, Principal of Pre1A – 2nd grade, led the farbrengen in the Dining Hall and in the Beis Medrash. Rabbi Shmuel Zalmanov told stories and Rabbi Yossi Goldstein entertained on the keyboard.
For the students of grades 3 & 4, the day began with shacharis in the zal and a dvar torah. Later, Rabbi Levi Golomb, Principal of grades 3 & 4, led a farbrengen in the wedding hall, and Rabbi Zalmanov shared with them stories of Yud Tes Kislev, and they said Lchaim together.
